Beefier Version Of Ferrari 458 Will Debut At Frankfurt Auto Show

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better.

For years now, Ferrari has introduced juiced-up, nearly race-ready versions of their already incredibly impressive lineup. The cars are typically manufactured in very limited numbers (usually under 500 units) and can cost as much as 50 percent more than stock models.

Now, on the heels of the Frankfurt Motor Show, Ferrari has announced that a 600hp version of the 458 Italia, dubbed the Scuderia, will make its debut in the fall. According to Car and Driver, the "Scud" will utilize an all new seven-speed dual-clutch Getrag-sourced automatic gearbox and a 4.5-liter V-8 mid-mounted motor that can red-line at 9500rpm.

The car will also feature an upgraded aerodynamic package including additional carbon fiber components for light-weighting.

No word on price but our guess would be somewhere in the $400,000 range.
