If you still haven't read the amazing interview that Kobe Bryant did with ESPN recently, do it now! Seriously. Even if you hate Kobe, you'll walk away impressed with just how amazing some of his quotes are in the Q&A. You'll also walk away shaking your head at how easily Kobe claims he beat Tracy McGrady in a series of 1-on-1 games more than a decade ago. After the ESPN interviewer told Kobe that he would have liked to see Kobe and T-Mac play one another, Kobe told him that it actually happened back when he was 20—and that he handled him easily in three games of 1-on-1 before T-Mac tapped out with back spasms.

"I played T-Mac," he said. "I cooked him. Roasted him. Wasn't even close. Ask him, he'll tell you. When I was about 20, we were in Germany doing some promotional stuff for that other sneaker company, and we played basketball every day. We were in the gym all the time. We played three games of one-on-one to 11. I won all three games. One game I won 11-2. After the third game he said he had back spasms and couldn't play anymore."

Kobe seemed to remember the details of the 1-on-1 games with T-Mac so vividly that his story just had to be true. But, nonetheless, someone did ask T-Mac about them on Twitter last night, like Kobe said to do. And, T-Mac revealed that he remembered things a lot differently. In fact, he said that the 1-on-1 games never even happened.

@mheatfan631 LOL Hell no! That's far from the truth. No one in the NBA is playing 1 on 1. Me and KB never went to Germany together either..

So, who's telling the truth here? Given the details he provided, our money is on Kobe. But, then again, he wouldn't be the first guy to ever lie about his athletic accomplishments from 15 years ago if his T-Mac story isn't true. Hmmm...
