If you knocked on the house of Robert Griffin III yesterday expecting some random Halloween candy, you were in for a pleasant surprise. Instead of handing out thoughtless fun size Snickers or Musketeers to the Leesburg, Virginia trick-or-treaters, RGIII did something way better: he handed out socks and shirts.

While some folks would be miffed by receiving socks, that type of hosiery is a part of RGIII's claim to fame. After all, do you remember the Superman-themed ones he wore when winning the 2011 Heisman Trophy? Did you ever see his Cookie Monster socks?

Hit the thumbs to see the lucky recipients with what looks like the Adidas "Go Catch Your Dream," as well as some other free merchandise.
