At this point, it's probably safe to say that Kobe Bryant had the worst All-Star Weekendever in Orlando, eh? Sure, he passed Michael Jordan to become the all-time leading scorer in NBA All-Star Game history. But he also broke his nose, suffered a mild concussion, and—according to a new report—skipped out on a news conference and an NBA Cares event that just resulted in a $40,000 fine from the league.
He's not alone, either. Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo received $20,000 for failing to show up at charity appearances during the All-Star festivities as well. But, still: Kobe might wanna seriously consider saying "thanks...but no thanks!" next season. 'Cause this year's All-Star Weekend was a complete disaster for him. And not just because he's been forced to wear that silly new mask you see above as a result of it.
