The sports world suffered a great loss yesterday when Joe Paterno, the former head football coach of Penn State, died of lung cancer. But word of JoePa's death didn't sit well with everyone. Just ask, the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas, who are planning to picket Paterno’s funeral. After hearing the news, Margie Phelps, the wife of church leader Fred Phelps, fired off a series of mean-spirited tweets dictating her exact stance on the Paterno situation:
Welp, you had to expect that news of Paterno's death wasn't going to be a meloncholy situation for everyone. But we have to admit, Ms. Phelps took things waaaay overboard.
