Now that Will Smith, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and a handful of other investors have purchased the Philadelphia 76ers, there are going to be some changes in the City of Brotherly Love. And we don't just mean changes to the team. The first order of business: Killing off Hip Hop, the official mascot of the Sixers. Apparently, the team owners asked season ticket holders what changes they'd like to see and one of the things they heard back was that people hated the fact that they had to watch a bunny rabbit dressed as a rapper patrolling the sidelines during games. We can't say we blame them.

That doesn't mean the Sixers will be without a mascot for long, though. The team has tabbed Jim Henson's Creature Shop and the Raymond Entertainment Group, which came up with the original Phillie Phanatic years ago, to come up with a replacement. So, R.I.P. Hip Hop! It was nice knowing you...
