Panthers 33, Redskins 20

We told Redskins fans to expect a fall from the team's lofty start, looks like it's begun. Cam Newton threw for 256 yards, a TD, and no interceptions, and ran for another. New Washington starting QB John Beck threw a TD and a pick. So maybe it's not Rex Grossman's fault after all. Well at least it's not all his fault.

Browns 6, Seahawks 3

Yikes. Three field goals? The box score says this one actually went 60 minutes. Could we get a do-over?

Falcons 23, Lions 16

Two teams going in different directions. Despite two Matt Ryan INTs, the Falcons improve to 4-3. For the second consecutive week, Detroit loses a close one. Converting just 8% of 3rd down chances (1 for 12) just ain't gonna cut it though.

Jets 27, Chargers 21

Not a bad start to the Jets' "Save our Season" campaign. Plaxico Burress catches 3 TDs, Mark Sanchez has an efficient, unspectacular day, and the defense throws a shutout in the second half. Once again, the Jets avert a full-stage meltdown for another week.

Bears 24, Bucs 18

The Bad News Banged Up Bucs showed up in London, as Josh Freeman threw 4 INTs and the team netted 30 yards rushing. This is what happens when you have to start a Lumpkin at running back.

Texans 41, Titans 7

Houston takes the AFC South in a stranglehold with a convincing win in Tennessee. Arian Foster has a monster performance, picking up 100+ yards both running and receiving.

Broncos 18, Miami 15

Got that bust in Canton ready? In his first start of the season, Timmy Tebow threw for two 4th quarter touchdowns to lead Denver out of their three-game skid. It's all the more impressive considering they were facing that 2011 juggernaut, the Miami Dolphins. Oh wait.
