Remember when photos of a malnourished 50 Cent leaked to the 'net last year and everyone was wondering what the fuck Fif was thinking? Turns out, the move might've been the best thing that's ever happened to 50 in terms of his acting career after he got rave reviews following a screening of the movie Things Fall Apart in New York City earlier this week. One review, in particular, stood out with Floyd Mayweather, Jr. giving Fif props for undergoing the massive makeover that it took for him to play the role of a cancer patient in the film.
"For him to lose his weight and maintain his composure and still go out there and perform was truly amazing," Mayweather said at the screening. "The character he portrayed was something we would see in everyday life. Instead of a movie where someone is selling 300 kids and not getting caught or shooting a bunch of guns and not going to jail, this is something everybody could relate to."
