The latest rumor surrounding Superman is that newly-acquired guard Deron Williams spoke with Nets owner Mikhail Pokhorov (as well as Jay-Z!) recently about the future of the team and was told that DH is definitely on the Nets' short list of players they'd like to pick up in the immediate future. Then again, they said that with LeBron and Carmelo and those plans didn't exactly work out. So, WTF makes us think this time will be any different? [via theScore]

It makes sense. the Nets will be in brooklyn by then, and the possibility of building another team in NYC is appealing. The big market will be there and they clearly have one of, if not THE best PG in the game In Deron Williams and Avery Johnson as the coach. What would he have to lose? the Orlando magic haven't done a THING to help him. Trading nothing and getting nothing is not considered an effort to build something around DH. Williams is a leader so that would take a lot of the pressure to actually LEAD a team off of DH. WIth Williams there already it makes it more appealing to a free agent like Howard. When they were trying to get lebron they could barely even find a coach let alone players to put around him. But we'll see. I think it'll all come down to 2 things. 1. How much faith does Howard have in the Orlando Organization at this point? and 2. Of course who's money talks the loudest. But we all know the answer DH will give the entire season will be "I'm gonna do whats best for me and my family" lol

Ewing will be PISST if he goes to the Knicks, all that work he put in. Ewing's reaction will be the same as the reaction he had when Pippen stepped over him after that dunk in Chi, or when J.Starks cost them a crucial tech foul in MSG against the Bulls. Ewing will be pisst man.
