Walk-On Wins: The Best Athlete Cameos on TV Shows

If that dude from the Dos Equis commercials didn't already claim it, Keith Hernandez would definitely be in the running for the title of "The Most Interesting Man In The World." In his lifetime, Hernandez—who turns 57 today—has helped the Mets win a World Series, survived a cocaine addiction (shout-out to the Pittsburgh drug trials), maintained an amazing mustache, and taped a memorable cameo in a two-part 1992 episode of Seinfeld. Interesting, indeed.

But it's that last item that's had the most lasting effect. Hernandez's hilarious Seinfeld appearance helped a gang of other athletes get TV cameos, too. His role, playing Elaine's boyfriend and Jerry's man-crush, still catches our DVR's watchful eye every time it's on. So, to help celebrate the birthday boy's crowning achievement, Complex ranked 10 other athletes who made an impact on the small screen. Press play and watch these classic cameos.

The entire cast of Homer at the bat puts this to shame.

What about Ron Harper on Kenan & Kel? His "acting" was hilarious.
