Last night kicked off the beginning of the 2016-2017 NBA regular season with three games. LeBron James and the Cleavland Cavaliers took on the New York Knicks with newest addition Derrick Rose for an easy 117-88 win, the new super team in the West, the Golden State Warriors, took on the now Tim Duncan-less San Antonio Spurs in a surprising 129-100 blowout loss, and the Portland Trailblazers hosted the Utah Jazz for a 113-104 win.
Aside from teams learning how to gel with new teammates and playing some good games basketball, opening night is about the kicks, too. Nike Basketball launched a "Battle Grey" collection, which was seen its signature athletes like LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. The Three Stripes debuted several of its new sneakers with the adidas D Rose 7, Crazy Explosive Primeknit and D Lillard 2 Primeknit. League MVP Stephen Curry debuted two pairs of his latest signature sneaker, the Under Armour Curry 3 — a low-top for practice and a high-top for the game. Jordan Brand also made an appearance with Air Jordan XXX1 and Melo 12.
While you can expect to see plenty of new silhouettes and PE colorways in the coming months of the NBA, these are the Best Sneakers of the 2016-2017 NBA Season Opener Games.
