A rare pair of game-worn Air Jordans just hit the auction block, the result of a meeting between Michael Jordan and late recording icon Whitney Houston in 1990.

According to Heritage Auctions, these "Metallic" Air Jordan 5s were likely gifted to Houston following a 47-point performance by Jordan in Game 3 of the '90 Eastern Conference Finals. Prior to tip-off, she sang the pre-game National Anthem.

The original colorway did hit retail, but without the Player Exclusive "23" embroidery found on this sample pair. Previously property of the estate, these gems can now be yours via auction. Heritage has the pair listed now with a starting bid of $10,000. The auction runs until Saturday, June 25.
