While previous "Chinese New Year" models used that year's animal as the design focus, this sneaker uses a kite as its inspiration.
Jordan Brand's decision to use a kite for this year's inspiration is rooted in the symbolic meaning that kites represent to Chinese culture, which is a sign of good luck and well wishes. This colorful design which is featured on the insole, tongue, and heel showcases artwork inspired by kites, fighter jets, and a basketball court, which perfectly ties together the theme to the sneaker's history.
