Nike designer Nathan Vanhook is the man behind some of the brand's most acclaimed sneakers; the Air Yeezy IIAir Footscape MagistaMayfly WovenFootscape Woven Chukka, and more recently, the Tiempo VI soccer cleat, just to name a few. Still, as impressive as his portfolio is, it turns out that his favorite sneaker isn't the Air Yeezy II — nor is it one of his other designs.

In a new interview with Highsnobiety, Vanhook names the Air Presto, designed by Tobie Hatfield, as his favorite model. "My favorite shoe is the Nike Presto," Vanhook said. "I was wearing them earlier and they're super comfortable and I think the whole idea of small, medium, large is just brilliant. I remember being just out of high school and going into university and I loved that shoe."

Elsewhere in the interview, Vanhook touches on the importance of Nike being able to communicate the history of retro sneakers like Air Jordans to the younger generation of fans who may not have been around to see the original versions in action and also hints at the possibility of a lifestyle version of his latest design, the Tiempo VI.
