The "Grape" Air Jordan V is a favorite for fans of Jordan Brand and those nostalgic for the '90s, and an all-black version was released in 2013. That pair, as many know, differed from the original white version with its suede upper. It turns out that the sneaker might have been made in a smooth leather instead.

Sneaker collector @OregonSole recently showed off his sample pair on his Instagram. In his post, he didn't give much more information other than that these leather "Black Grape" Vs are a promo sample. They say that "comparison is the thief of joy," so maybe you shouldn't share this news with your friends who have the released "Black Grape" V in their rotation. They will, however, be able to find some comfort in knowing these may never release.

But we're betting that many are pining to have this unreleased sample in their possession.
