It's been six years since music industry legend DJ AM's untimely death, and now award-winning director Kevin Kerslake is looking to keep his legacy alive with an authorized documentary.

AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, was nothing short of a trail blazer in both the DJ and sneaker scenes. Goldstein was fully immersed in both cultures long before they were trendy, so it only makes sense that his contributions will be immortalized with the film As I Am: The Life and Time$ of DJ AM

The documentary has actually been finished for a couple years, however, before it can see an official release, funds must be raised to cover its music licenses, distribution, and marketing costs. That's where you come in. The producers have launched an Indiegogo campaign with some pretty amazing perks, especially if you're a sneakerhead.

Many of the kicks have already been purchased, but there's still a number of heat rocks left like "Pigeon," "Tiffany," and "Zoo York" Nike SB Dunk Lows, as well a personalized laser-etched pair of Air Force 1 Lows.

The campaign currently has 28 days left and has already met more than half of its goal, so be sure to act fast if you want to be — and own — a part of sneaker history. Visit the Indigogo page here and check out a clip of AM's collection narrated by the Shoezeum's Jordan Geller below.
