The collaboration between Sacai and Nike was a perfect example that the worlds of high fashion and sportswear can work together, when the two labels reworked the Air Max 90. The result was a trio of runners that lost their laces in favor of a slip-on look. Now Sacai and Nike are back, this time putting in an effort on the Nike Dunk Lux.
Available in similar tones to the prior collaboration — white, lime green, and navy — the Dunks will surely be limited.
According to a Nike press release, Sacai founder and designer Chitose Abe said, "I was inspired by the palette that I saw in the Nike archives and looked at expressing it in a new way. There is boldness to the color that feels very true to the world of sportswear."
There will be an accompanying clothing collection, but, like the sneakers, it will also only be for women. For our small-footed, female, or determined readers, expect this product to release on June 11 via NikeLab locations.
