Adidas and White Mountaineering have worked together for a while, but exclusively on footwear. For S/S 16, the two teamed up and expanded into apparel. At 26 pieces, it's not quite a capsule, not quite a collection, but it's substantial for sure. You can see that it sticks exclusively to tones of blue and grey and sort of has the feeling of a pared down (and less strictly athletic) Nike Gyakusou collection. I hate to draw such fucking obvious parallels, but considering the Nike-Adidas rivalry it only makes sense. Maybe the proper way to think of this is in terms of the most recent Palace collab. This is the best of both worlds, a little bit of '90s performance wear mixed with today's technical fabrications. Of course, there are still some sneakers: five different models that come in white and navy each that consists of the BW Army, Supergrip, ZX 500 HI, Formel 1 and a take on the Energy Boost that are all luxed up with either higher-end leather or tech-y synthetics.
