Jordan Brand made headlines this earlier year when it entered the high-end lifestyle sneaker market with the Jordan Shine and it's eye-popping price tag of $400.
If these images are any indication, it appears Jordan Brand is looking to build on that initial entry with a follow-up. This unnamed sneaker, possibly the Jordan Shine 2, is done up in the same, or similar "Varsity Red" tone used on the debut colorway of the Shine. The shoe incorporates elements that connote a luxury shoe with one of the stand out features being a textured, geometric pattern used on the heel counter; a pattern which seems to be a prevalent theme in the sneaker as its repeated on the outsole and used as a decorative touch on the top lace-opening. Nike recently used similar stud detailing on Kyrie Irving's signature sneaker as well as on the Nike Free Orbit II.
The upper's material seems to be constructed of a premium suede with a shiny-spray like finish adorning the toe region. Finishing touches include metal lacetips and leather binding along the heel collar and the top of the ballistic nylon tongue. Looking at all that's being offered lends credence to this being JB's next high-end silhouette.
No further information is available but with the Jordan Shine having made its debut during NBA All-Star Weekend last year in New Orleans, one could ascertain a forthcoming announcement at this February's celebration in New York City.
