Last night's Cavaliers-Heat preseason tilt in Brazil was about as bizarre as expected, giving way to a couple of noteworthy moments.
For starters,it was obviously LeBron's first game against the Heat since spurning Miami for Cleveland this past summer. After the game, the players said that they were happy to get the reunion out of the way, but we all know that the preseason doesn't really count for anything, not to mention that the game was played in Brazil away from any salty Heat fans. When the two teams meet in Miami on Christmas Day is when the "reunion" will really happen in our opinion.
Secondly, LeBron wore the Nike LeBron 12s "NSRL" for the game last night, which is interesting for two reasons. First, because they were supposed to be released to the masses yesterday but were eventually pushed back due to cosmetic issues. But more importantly, they may be the only time that LeBron will get away with wearing them on the court this season, as NBA rules prohibit him from wearing the "NSRL" with Cleveland's uniform because they don't match. LeBron was able to get away with it because it was the preseason.
Finally, last night's game gave us a lighthearted moment when it appeared that LeBron forgot that he no longer played for the Heat for a moment, setting a pick on teammate Matthew Dellavedova. Lucky for LeBron, the Heat missed the basket on the ensuing play.
