When it comes to Air Jordan sneakers, there are three constants you can always count on: Hype, nicknames, and of course, number identification. Roman numerals have been prominent on Js up until the brand decided to use the corresponding year of the drop in place of the ancient numeric system. This started in 2009, but Jordan Brand later returned to Roman numerals with the XX8 just last year. In other words, there have been 24 Jordans where people have seen some form of a Roman numeral.

Kicks on Fire wanted to see if sneakerheads in NYC could identify the Roman numeral of their favorite Air Jordans and documented it in a hilarious video. Peep the footage and make sure to brush up on your Roman numerals because you never know when it just might save you from embarrassment.
