These "1996 NBA All-Star Game"-Inspired Nike Air Max Penny 1s Are Too Good

It's too bad Dank wasn't doing customs back in '96 because his Nike Air Max Penny 1 Customs would've been fire on Penny's feet.

Fresh off his "OVO x TOPSZN" Nike Roshe Run, Jake Danklefs is at it again with another impressive custom, the "1996 NBA All-Star Game" Inspired Nike Air Max Penny 1.

The '96 game, which was held in Danklef's hometown of San Antonio, featured amazing teal uniforms which Danklefs clearly uses as inspiration for his latest gem. Danklefs executes the custom with a clean "Black/Teal" upper but adds the jersey's side panel pattern detail to the back heel of the sneaker giving it a classy and appropriate design pop. Knowing that details is what separates the good from the great, JW touches up the Penny logo on the heel, pops the pull tabs with color, and paints a graphic of one of the game's graphics on the inner footbed.

With this latest piece, Dank further cements himself amongst the game's elite customizers.
