Ronnie Fieg is opening a pop-up in Brazil in two weeks, on June 16, to sell his Kith Football Equipment collection with ASICS. But it wasn't an easy task to get the sneakers made the way he wanted.

Yesterday, Fieg tweeted in reference to the "Home" ASICS Gel Lyte III:

Sourcing premium gold leather was a mission. Most of what you've seen in gold from sneaker brands these past few years has been synthetic.

Fieg, however, was content with the way things turned out. He also tweeted:

The home and away concept executed nicely with this collection. Can't wait to shoot the look book next week. Stay tuned.

From Fieg's tweets, it shows that it's not easy to put together collaborations. There's a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes, and the end product makes it all worth it.
