Today Nike announced their 125th anniversary home kit for the Dutch, reminding us all that the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNBV) is super... old... in a good way.

Sporting a new crest featuring an enlarged white lion, the new era in Dutch football is meant to signify simplicity, honor and unity. In a traditional orange colorway with a V-neck collar, the founding year of 1889 rests below the crest. The numbers and names are created by legendary Dutch graphic designer and typographer Wim Crouwel, as the font is reminiscent of the look of the 1970s.
