Not to be outdone by Adidas and Kanye West, last night Drake announced at his Portland, Oregon (home to Nike) Would You Like A Tour stop that he has officially joined team Jordan. The announcement was confirmed this morning by Jordan Brand's official Twitter. Drake's obsession with J's is well documented. You do follow Champagne Papi on Instagram, right? Speaking of which, last night Drake also posted photos of his collaboration with the label in the form of a Jordan X and XII, each of which feature OVO branding and have no release date as of yet. The sneakers boast a monochromatic color palette and feature the OVO logo on the soles. I guess this means that with all of the recent news surrounding rappers and performance sneaker brands, hip-hop's biggest stars must be the new athletes.
