To honor Kevin Durant’s collegiate days in Texas, Nike has rolled out the special edition “Texas” colorway that was first unveiled back in September for his latest signature basketball shoe, the Nike KD VI.

The KD VI Texas is inspired by the unique atmosphere of Austin, as well as the big Texas sky—which explains the speckled upper meant to represent stars. The shoe’s Burnt Orange base color pays homage to Durant’s Texas Longhorns. Of course, since this is just a special edition colorway of the KD VI, all of the shoe’s performance tech remains the same.

Along with shoe, Nike has launched a collection of matching gear, including a pair of Texas-inspired Nike KD Elite Crew socks, and a KD backpack in a similar color scheme. The entire Nike KD VI Texas collection will be available at Nike beginning October 10, 2013.
