Early this morning jsu_sneaks posted a few more photos related to the all-red Nike Air Yeezy II that may have shed some light on possible release information. The packaging alludes to only 1,000 pairs being made and it is also stamped with a June 18, 2013 date – the same day as the Yeezus album release. Is Kanye planning on dropping a limited number of pairs on the same day of his highly anticipated album? There has been talk that 1,000 tickets to order the shoe will be randomly inserted in the album case. Another genius marketing plan from 'Ye? You might want to forget your local sneaker shop and start camping out at Best Buy. Stay locked to Complex for more information.
UPDATE: Welp, straight from Nike — it looks like we will have to wait until later in the year. The good news is that it looks like they will be seeing an official release in 2013.
Release date for the new colorway of the Nike Air Yeezy 2 is not June 16th. We’re planning to release it later this year.— Heidi Burgett (@heidiburgett) May 30, 2013
