adidas today unveils a new limited colorway of the D Rose 3 signature shoe. Dubbed “Chicago Fire,” the Electricity-hued shoe is inspired by Derrick Rose's hometown Chicago Fire Department. The upper is made of rubberized, heavy-duty synthetics reminiscent of a firefighter’s turnout coat, while the Three Stripes on the back and outsole are gray, reflecting the knee and elbow pads on their gear. The stripes on the back are reflective, while the black SPRINTFRAME is a nod to fire boots. The inside of the left tongue features the cross symbol of firefighters with the D Rose logo in the middle, and the right shoe features Rose's lasered signature. The firefighter drop is set to hit Wednesday, October 10 for $180, and limited quantities will be available at adidas.com, Foot Locker and Eastbay.
