Mayer Hawthorne's Top 25 Sneakers of All Time

Old school flavor mixed with futuristic looks.

None

If Mayer Hawthorne isn’t on your radar yet you need to jump on YouTube, Spotify, Pandora — whatever it is you use to get familiar with music. Raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan it was nothing for Mayer to be influenced by the soulful sounds of Motown and sneakers from the likes of the Fab Five. Take that and a move out to Los Angeles, and while recording some music as a side project just for fun Hawthorne birthed one of the best old-school sounds and freshest styles in the music game today. So dope that even Kanye West himself co-signed Mayer’s “Maybe So, Maybe No” video on his infamous blog. Along the way if you have caught a show or seen some shots on Instagram you may have noticed that with the signature red suit its nothing for Mayer to rock a pair of Jordan IIIs or “DJ AM” Dunks to make the cipher complete. We here at Complex decided it was time to see what was good in Mayer’s sneaker section of the tour bus and see if he was really about that life.
