The inspiration came from a trip Kanye took to Amsterdam where he spent the whole time holed up in his hotel room watching "Forrest Gump." Ah, I remember when the first ones came out like it was yesterday. It was Xmas and I'd been working 12 hour shifts for 3 months straight at my job to raise enough money to get these. When I finally had enough money, I went to the store and waited in line for 3 days to get them. There was one more pair left and I was next in line. Then my arch rival Willard, who had always beat me at everything, drove by in his limo and bought them right in front of me. I cried for hours and hours, and didn't come out of my house for 4 months. That same year, Willard started his own company and made his first million, and married the girl of my dreams. I've waited 30 long, long years for these to come back. This time I will do anything get my hands on my own pair.
