After an excess of mids and lows, the Air Solo Flight was a taller pick than usual. The original Solo Flight was a quintessentially bulky basketball hi-top, but for 1993, they made it a little more stealthy and slim. It didn't make for a better-looking shoe, but it made them a lot more comfortable. It also meant Jerry could wear this incarnation without looking like he was heading to the moon.
