For the fourth sneaker in Jordan's premium "Bin 23" series (II, IX, VII), they chose to work with the Air Jordan V, done up in premium black leather with the Bin 23 wax-style seal on the heels. Like the previous models, the Bin 23 Vs come complete with cedar shoe trees and a dustbag. Unlike the others, the style was inspired by Michael Jordan's own on-court style, thanks to a memory from Jordanhead Alex Meacham. He remembered a playoff game in 1990 where Mike wore white laces in his Vs—and dropped 48 points on the Bucks. From then on, white laces in black shoes briefly became a style amongst true ballers.
