They say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. It happens a lot. So often, in fact, that we like to ask our readers "Who did it better?" from time to time when we see a new release that closely resembles something we've seen before.

While catching up on our Internet humping over the long weekend, we caught a glimpse of a new Nike silhouette inspired by retro runners. The Nike MS78 features a dual-density sole, heel cup, and squared toebox, and definitely rings some bells in the nostalgia department. Is Nike's interpretation an improvement on the shape we've grown to love in the New Balance 574, or is the O.G. version still where it's at?
