They say "imitation is the most sincere form of flattery" but more often then not imitation just leaves us questioning the designer—Really? It happens a lot though, and sometimes the new guy actually does it better than the O.G. It happens so often, that these instances of "imitation" have us asking "Who did it better?" each week.
Bape has had a long history of releases that more than resemble industry classics, and the recently leaked Manhunt Boots are proof that they aren't changing the formula. The boots are fire, but they bare one helluva resemblance to a nice little silo by the name of the Clarks Wallabee. So who wins? Pharrell has his favorites but what do you think? Anyone who rocks any wallabee besides a pair of Clark's is a buster. The thing about Clark's is you can really only wear em once or twice before that crepe sole gets ugly... but the crepe sole is what makes the Clark's so fly. You can twist an ankle and if you rock em hard they look like dog shit... but Clark's are the only wallos that are acceptable. Fucka Bape!
