A History Of Nike SB Repeating Colorways

nikesblead
Images are all over the Internet hyping Nike SBs "Ron Burgundy" Dunk Low, a sneaker that is hitting retail this month. The sneaker takes inspiration from Will Ferrell's character from Anchorman (which we voted as the funniest movie of all time), and it looks quite nice. Unfortunately for those holding down a pair of super limited Nike SB Dunk Low Shanghais, these are almost the same thing. Does this drop the value of your kicks? Probably, but you should have skated them anyway, so file that under a "Y.P.".

Nike SB prides itself on never repeating colorways, so the "Ron Burgundys" are kind of a way around re-creating the Shanghais. Hit the jump for our favorite repeats, 'cause keeping the O.G.s isn't only difficult, it's retarded.

tysonz right, you guys are really trying hard here. yeah of course there's similarities. there are only so many color combos that look dope. just because two shoes are green doesnt mean one influenced the other

How can a well established website such as NiceKicks still refer to the 'Made for Skate Mids' as the, 'Send Help Mids'?

Complex.com is not on point with it's sneaker articles. Another WEAK list.

I donno about the Alohas, but definately the rest. nikes just run out of original color combinations thats it. So now they turn to changing the hue or the shade of a color and throw it on another Dunk Sb.

man yall really reaching most of these dont look that close if your gonna do this why dont u just put all the "Un" colors next to the orginals i.e. un-tiffanies, un-futuras and so on that makes more sense then most of these

WTF!! I don't get the comparisons! Sure they are similar, but different enough not to warrant a half-assed comparo! Cmon, the cinco de mayos? What other colors can you do?
