As promised, the first day of 2020 has given us the arrival of a new trailer for A Quiet Place: Part II.

John Krasinski is back as writer and director the sequel, which hits theaters nearly exactly two years after the original A Quiet Place became a surprise hit and critical smash upon its release. Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds, and Cillian Murphy lead the sequel's cast.

In a 2018 interview with Collider, John Krasinski joked that he had been "Jedi mind-tricked" into penning a script for the sequel. He also recalled the support he received during an initial period of not being fully aboard the idea of a Part II from Emily Blunt.

"She said, ‘But it’s not a sequel. It’s the second book in a series . . . It sounds [like] semantics but it’s true, it really is—you’re not doing anything that’s like, alright I’m gonna take all the things you love and just kinda repeat them but in a different way.’ It’s not A Quieter Place, it’s sort of an exploration of getting to live in the circumstances, and that’s really fun."

Initially slated for a May release, A Quiet Place: Part II will now hit theaters on March 20.
