Zazie Beetz and Josh Brolin Jumping From 'Deadpool 2' to 'X-Force' Film

Domino and Cable will be on the same side as Deadpool in X-Force.

Josh Brolin may be busy fighting off a superhero dream team as Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, but that won't stop him from joining one of his own in 20th Century Fox's X-Force film.

That Hashtag Show confirmed Brolin's Cable will be coming back alongside Zazie Beetz's Domino to team up with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool for X-Force. (The Hollywood Reporter also announced Beetz signed a three-film deal with Fox, meaning she'll likely appear in another film after this.) Similar to the comic book team, the film is described as "a Black Ops force of down and dirty mutant warriors who are far more ruthless than their X-Men counterparts."

The final Deadpool 2 trailer introduced us to the rest of Deadpool's team, including Lewis Tan's Shatterstar, Terry Crews' Bedlam, and a regular human named Peter. Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Colossus, and the many-talented taxi-driver Dopinder got major love in Deadpool and have showed up plenty in the sequel's trailers. However, it has yet to be announced if these characters will also appear in X-Force.

Drew Goddard, who wrote for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Alias, Lost, and Daredevil, is on board as writer and director. He's also slated to pen The Sinister Six, a film about a group of Marvel supervillains.

X-Force, which is in pre-production now, will likely arrive in theaters sometime next year. In the meantime, Deadpool 2 is already set to be a huge success. The film is estimated to bring in $150 million during its opening weekend. As Deadpool would say: "maximum effort."
