Nearly nine years after airing its final episode, My Super Sweet 16 is returning to MTV—with a couple alterations.

According to a casting email, it appears that the network will veer away from the typical format of strictly filming the most extravagant 16th birthday celebrations, calling for both boys and girls for their “Sweet Sixteen, Quinceanera, Debutante Ball, Debut, or any other coming of age milestone event.” The show will also be known as My Super Sweet, allowing them to find people who could potentially be as young as 13 years old. Simply put, as the email reads, "If it’s going to be lit, we want to know about it!"

My Super Sweet 16 premiered in January 2005 and aired 61 episodes, which included filming the parties of Soulja Boy, Chris Brown, and Teyana Taylor. The show gave way to the spin-off Exiled, where the parents of former cast members would send their kids to other countries in order to see if they could survive in a world far less glamorous.

My Super Sweet 16 is also responsible for giving a little-known actress named Jennifer Lawrence her first on-screen acting job when she was cast for a commercial for the show.

If the My Super Sweet 16 is any indication of the MTV's desire to bring back old shows, which ones would you want to see back on the network? Is anyone interested in getting a Singled Out reboot? Or what about bringing back Yo! MTV Raps?
