2K Games have revealed that Thierry Henry will be a playable character in the upcoming NBA 2K17.

You'll be able to play as the former Arsenal striker in NBA 2K17's 'Blacktop' mode, it's essentially the game's version of streetball where you can play different types of games from 1-on-1 to a traditional 5-on-5. Henry, who is a San Antonio Spurs fan, has always had a genuine love for basketball, even playing pick-up games during his downtime when he was training at the world renowned Clairefontaine academy as a youngster. Speaking in a press statement Henry said:

"Being a basketball and NBA fan since I was a kid, I'm honoured to be the first football player ever to be playable in NBA 2K17. Seeing myself go toe to toe with the legends of the sport is an amazing feeling."
