Police in California arrested a couple this week after discovering over $2 million worth of heroin inside of a diaper box in their car.
The New York Daily News reports that officers with the Modesto Police Department pulled Israel Alcazar and his wife, Isabel Soto-Mandragon, over early Wednesday morning. The couple had their 10-month-old child in the car, and a drug-sniffing dog detected an abnormal scent emanating from the diaper bin present in the vehicle.
After a quick search, police found 26 pounds of heroin said to be worth $2.3 million. Evidence of drug-dealing, as well as a firearm, was found at the couple's home during an ensuing search.
Both Alcazar and Soto-Mandragon were charged with possession and transportation of a controlled substance, as well as child endangerment.
