As much as we would love to, we can’t believe every viral photo on the Internet. So, all of the concerned people that believed Steven Spielberg pulled a Kendall Jones and posed with a dead dinosaur as a trophy… that’s simply not true. For one, the animal was a mechanical Triceratops on the set of “Jurassic Park.” Second, he’s not old enough to be walking next to, let alone killing, dinosaurs. Major facepalm, Internet.

The photo, posted on Facebook, was meant to be satirical and ended up going viral. It was shared over 30,000 times because people quickly become furious, as they thought the director had killed a dinosaur for fun.

The photo was posted by Jay Branscomb and received massive backlash because of the recent debacle with 19-year-old Texas teen, Kendall Jones, who hunted and posted photos with animals she killed. The post was made worse when Branscomb captioned it “Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.”

Obviously, some humor is lost on some people. Come on, it's a dinosaur!
