The name Bruce Timm might not be as recognizable as Christopher Nolan or Christian Bale, but make no mistake about it, he’s just as important to the Batman mythology as anyone. He’s the man behind the legendary Batman: The Animated Series, and now he’s back with a new cartoon short to celebrate the Dark Knight’s 75th anniversary.
Titled Batman: Strange Days, this short focuses on the early days of the Caped Crusader as he battles the first super villain he ever faced in the comics, Dr. Hugo Strange. The short takes an old school, pulp tone that is reminiscent of the comics from the late 1930’s and early ‘40s. This is a piece of animation that acts as a perfect homage to the character’s legacy, and it's a must-see for any Animated Series fan out there. Check it out above.
