Brooke Burke got fired yesterday from her gig co-hosting Dancing With the Stars. After winning season seven, Burke joined the show in 2008. E! says she didn't even know they were thinking about firing her until producers told her the bad news Friday afternoon.
Tom Bergeron still has his hosting job, but the eighteen-piece orchestra that provides the music is being replaced by a smaller band. Last season's finale was its lowest rated ever, so it's no surprise ABC is trying to shake things up.
Burke gave a statement about embracing change and pursuing other opportunities, but she let her real (read: sassy) feelings out on Twitter, as many of us are wont to do.
weird day….Shocking pre-season elimination #DWTS…ME. @Tom_Bergeron didn't even read my name. I won't be returning to the show this season.
Dancing With the Stars' eighteenth season premieres March 17.
