If there is one thing we can glean from sci-fi space shooters it's that the shotgun will be around for a long time. What better weapon to deal with these pesky armored aliens? When we get our chance to take Virgin Galactic we'll demand a shotgun just incase; as well as extra peanuts.
Alien Rage is exactly what you think it is. It's an unashamed first-person shooter blast-fest centered on the destruction of unrelenting hordes of aliens. Coming to Steam this month it looks all kinds of amazing. But there is something to be said for the plot thin and blood heavy genre of graphically beautiful gaming. After all, explosions are good, talking bad.
The game emphasis a “thru-the-gun” experience with powerful weapons that rewards skill-shots and environmental destruction capped off with enormous boss battles.
If you manage to make it though the trailer without having a seizure check out the Steam site. Alien Rage drops on September 24.
