Microsoft has released details of its Season Pass Guarantee system, which will allow users who purchased season passes on Xbox 360 to automatically access the same content when they upgrade to Xbox One.

According to Microsoft, publishers the likes of Activision, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft will be participating in the program allowing gamers to access exclusive content on titles like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Battlefield 4 on both systems. However, Xbox Live users will need to own the same game on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One for this to work.

If you're planning on upgrading then you don't need to put off buying the next-gen games, at least your content will carry over.
