The last season premiere of Breaking Bad we'll ever get to see is nearly upon us, so that means it's time for AMC to begin rolling out the promotional material. First up was a little teaser poster promising us that "all bad things must come to an end" (why must you rub it in, AMC?!), then a few teasers that were so short it was almost cruel. The latest: Stills from the season premiere, which look just about as intense as we all knew they was going to be.
In other news—talking too much about the end of Breaking Bad makes us sad, OK?—the series was nominated for a total of five Emmy awards today, including Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Drama Actor. When asked by the New York Times' Dave Itzkoff if he feels any regret that he's ending the show after it just received five Emmy nominations, creator Vince Gilligan had this to say:
When you see all the positive response that’s greeted the show today, does it make you second-guess the idea of ending it?
No. I’m happy to say it does not. I’m very sad the show is over, for personal reasons.
Damnit, Gilligan. It's not fair.
Breaking Bad returns to AMC for its final season on August 11.
