Beleaguered Eternal Darkness spiritual successor Shadow of the Eternals has launched its final Kickstarter, after two previous crowdfunding efforts were scuttled over internal difficulties, controversy and a seeming lack of interest.

Now the third-person adventure horror has returned – probably for the last time – with a couple of key changes: developer Precursor Games has done away with the previously planned episodic structure (suggesting they’ve likely made some significant creative cuts to fit the game into the now-promised 8-10 hour package) and brought on veteran Metal Gear Solid actor David Hayter to do voicework for the game.

Shadow of the Eternals’ Kickstarter page now also has some gameplay footage of the game in action, as Silicon Knight former head Denis Dyack and other developers get into some details about the game’s plot and world. For the crowdfunding campaign to succeeed, Precursor is asking for $750,000 to release it on Wii U and PC – significantly less than their previous campaign’s id="mce_marker".35 million fund. Should the game hit its funding mark, the dev team is also interested in bringing Eternals to PS4.

If you’re interested in donating to the game’s fund, you can do so via the link below.
