Between the success of Ted, and his gig hosting the Oscars, Seth MacFarlane’s stock in Hollywood has gone through the roof over the past year. Now all of the focus is on his next directorial project, titled A Million Ways to Die in the West. Described as a Western comedy in the same vein as Blazing Saddles, this will be his second directorial feature, and the first in which he’ll actually physically be the star, as opposed to just the voice.

And according to The Hollywood Reporter, Charlize Theron is in talks to star alongside MacFarlane as the female lead. There isn’t much known about the movie yet, but here is how the site describes the plot:

When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer at first sees a chance to win back his love but slowly falls for the woman. Complications ensue when the outlaw returns and reclaims his woman.

We don’t know which female role Theron would be up for at this point, but we’ll keep you updated. The movie is aiming for a May production start date.
