Last weekend, ten men dressed in identical tracksuits claiming to be members of the Venezuelan Olympic weightlifting team were arrested by Argentine police. The group was just about to hop on a flight to Brazil when body scans revealed that they were all full of liquid cocaine. So much for the act. The BBC says that police had been tipped off by a Venezuelan woman claiming that her nephew had been contacted to smuggle drugs.
After a four month investigation, authorities showed up at the Buenos Aires international airport, where the nephew and nine others were about to board the flight. Each was forced to excrete the capsules, and they all tested positive for liquid cocaine.
