Sandeep Singh's ex-girlfriend may regret her recent decision to break up with him. 22-year-old Singh, of Hyannis, MA, who works two jobs to assist his family, has won the $30.5 million Mega Millions jackpot. "I was heartbroken at first, but now I’m getting over it," Singh told the Boston Globe. Now that he's won over 30 Ms, we bet he is.
Singh won $4 on a scratch-off lottery and used that to purchase four Mega Millions tickets, one of which was the lucky ticket. Singh, who goes by Sunny, chose to receive his winnings in a lump sum payment of approximately $23 million. After taxes, he'll come away with $16.1 million, give or take some cents.
